ELKMONT FALL:
An autumn watercolor landscape of an Elkmont stream. Elkmont is a historic community in the Smokies. Large-scale logging in the early 20th century had a huge impact on the Elkmont area, bringing a railroad line and a logging community. My grandfather worked for the Little River Logging Company in this area, and my father and his family lived in the boxcar homes provided by the company.
