Collection: Birds of the Great Smoky Mountains
The Great Smoky Mountains have close to 240 species of birds that have been spotted within the park's borders. Because of the many different elevations and habitats within the park, there is a very diverse collection of these beautiful birds. Many bird-watchers come to East Tennessee and the Smokies to enjoy the almost 120 varieties of bird breeds. At Clingmans Dome, the tallest point in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you may spot the Black-capped Chickadee. Driving around Cades Cove, you will see a Wild Turkey, a Hooded Warbler, and a Yellow Warbler among the many species. Terri Waters captures the native birds of the Smokies in beauty of her natural artwork.
