Collection: Flowers of the Great Smoky Mountains

Spring is when the 1600 plus species of flowering plants begin to bloom in the
Smokies. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is sometimes called the "Wildflower National Park". Showy Orchis, Dwarf Iris, Fairy Wand, and Violets are just some of the many colorful suprises found along the mountain trails.

Blooming trees also add color to the Great Smoky Mountain region. Of the most beautiful and enduring are the Dogwood, Magnolia, and Crabapple, which Terri captures in several of her prints.

In late spring, the Rhododendron bushes, hidden deep in the piney forests of the Great Smoky Mountains, awaken from their long winter sleep. Terri Waters collection of flowering plants offer lasting captured beauty.
