EVENING SKY AT SPENCE FIELD

An acrylic landscape of Spence Field, providing an excellent view of the Smoky Mountains in June while also enjoying the beauty of Mountain Laurel in bloom. Spence Field was named after James Spence, who built a cabin in the area in 1830. It is one of the grassy balds in the park, cleared by settlers to graze sheep and cattle in the summer months.
