ABRAM'S AUTUMN:
A Smokies autumn landscape depicting Abram's Falls in watercolor. In this painting, fall colors contrast with ice blue and green waters, and sunlight filters through the trees above. Many visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains take the five-mile hike to Abram’s Falls. The large volume of water falling from its 20-foot height makes it well worth the trek. The long, deep pool at its base is very picturesque. The waterfall and creek are named for a Cherokee chief whose village was nearby.
