A Smokies wildlife watercolor of a black bear mother and cub. In this painting the artist seeks to portray the universal love and care between a mother and her baby boy. The mama bear of the Great Smoky Mountains will usually have one to four new cubs. Commonly born in pairs, the cubs will remain with the mother for about eighteen months.
